CYFCare is a California-based, psychotherapeutic and psychoeducational virtual practice led by Laura Jacqueline Gonzalez Carlos, LMFT. CYFCare clinically supports children, youth, and families in the development of communication, emotional, executive functioning, and social skills, the mitigation of toxic stress, the incorporation of early mental health interventions, and the processing of adverse childhood experiences.

Our goal is to create a supportive and empowering space for individuals, groups, and families to navigate challenges and build essential life skills that yield lasting wellbeing.

Using a holistic, trauma-informed, and culturally responsive approach, evidence-based techniques are integrated with the aim to help clients reach their full potential by overcoming cognitive, emotional, behavioral, and developmental challenges while fostering emotional resilience, cognitive growth, and meaningful connections.

Laura encourages self-exploration through expressive arts and storytelling, while cultivating self-discovery and expression. She also incorporates Ericksonian Hypnotherapy and Neuro-Linguistic Programming when aligned with a client’s unique needs and goals. Every treatment plan and session is carefully tailored to meet the unique needs of each client and ensure access to an effective and meaningful path toward healing and transformation.
